Avast removing files?

So I’ve been playing GTA5 and it was running fine until recently and then it started crashing. Every time I use Steam to check for missing files it states that one is missing and needs to be downloaded. In the past this has nearly always been Avast

What I don’t understand is, I’ve added the Social Club & GTA5 folders to exclusions but it would seem that Avast is still removing files. I’ve not confirmed this for certain yet as I’ve not disabled the shield before starting the game. I’ve also not confirmed that Avast is the problem 100% yet. I don’t tend to think so, the only other program installed that would do this would be ad-aware and I’ve disabled it’s shields to stop any chance they conflict with Avasts.

Check the avast log files and see if you can find something about the file in one (or more) of them.

can you check the log or virus chest and send us the file? Or at least the filename?
