Avast repeatedly blocking websites / machine running slow / no viruses detected

This started last night. Even when I have no applications running, Avast blocks explorer.exe from connecting to websites.

OS is Windows 7 and is current with all updates

The most frequent one is:
URL: http://xmlka.com/click?app-app45&click=e887d55d-5b4d-47cb-b665-04fb89f59e1d&searc
Infection: URL:MAL
Process: C:\Windows\explorer.exe

The website is the same but the click?app changes each time.

Full Avast scan and rootkit scan show nothing.
My machine is running slower than a dog and I can’t figure out what else to check.

Thanks for your help.

I have the same thing going on most of the pages being blocked are from iexplore.exe, Avast is blocking threats but not removing them.

Just blocked:

URL: http://s.vb3k.com/crossdomain.xml
Infection: URL:MAL
Process: C:\Windows\explorer.exe

Could you let me know if this stops it

I’m so sorry I didn’t update this thread. I had already run FRST and Adwcleaner and attached the logs as I read the intro thread for viruses. They were both clean. I was a bit impatient so I poked around myself. The professional version of SuperAntiSpyware found the malware and using Hijackthis, I identified 2 registry entries that I deleted. All is right with the world again. Thanks so much for your response!
