Avast reports it may be out of date but then will not update

I have Avast free version, and it says that system is secured, but then highlights the program version on the User Interface screen (I have version 5.0.377. Windows Security Centre also reports that Avast Antivirus thinks it may be out of date.
But when I press the “update” button in the user interface it says I already have the most up rto date version. Any ideas?

thanks

5.0.522 is the latest version.
Also check your system time and date.

The latest release version is 5.0.507 and that is reported as up to date in the manual program updates.

Tech I don’t believe you have version 5.0.522 ??? or having you have a wild beer goggles party ;D  why aren’t David and I aren’t invited to your party.

Seems you don’t believe me ::slight_smile:

Second proof…

Tech is that a beta version or a final release version ???

Nothing about belief have a look at my first image and that version isn’t available to me as a regular release.

The only difference being your using AIS and I’m on avast 5.0 free.

That strange ??? I didn’t know the AIS has a complete different version number from the Free version ??? I guess ???

Neither do I.

Neither did I it is merely me reporting the only difference between the two products that could possible have any impact on avast version released. More so in regard to paid versions having it pushed or priority when checking for updates (which I have no problem with).

Interesting, the AIS download from avast.com is for 5.0.507…seems you can’t get 5.0.522…

Wow very Interesting I think Tech computer maybe be hacked ??? or a crap and fake anti-virus software ???

+1 :frowning:
Are there different versions for different releases now…??
Could please someone from Alwil confirm this. And if yes, post some info on that…?!
Thanks a lot…!!
