Avast reports out of date

My avast has been reporting that my VPS is out of date even when I have just checked for updates. When I click the red box to update it checks again and then responds that VPS is already up to date. What is going on here? Do I have some kind of Virus or Malware that maybe causing this to happen? I have already tried repairing avast but it is still giving me these messages occasionally. My Windows security center says my anti virus may be out of date even after I know it has been updated.

Any ideas as to what is happening?

Hi,

Check your system clock. Right click the clock, click “adjust time/date”. Adjust is needed.

Sometimes, malware change your system time and date… be sure your computer is clean :wink:
