Avast reports Sky Drive is off line

I do a full scan each week (Avast Free) and each week it reports that it couldn’t scan a number of files in Sky Drive. Only problem is, Sky Drive ceased to exist back in January/February this year when it became One Drive. Why does Avast continue to try to scan Sky Drive?

try this http://lmgtfy.com/?q=clear+skydrive+cache

any change?

Sorry for the slow response. I’m not sure what I was supposed to do with that link. Mostly what was displayed there related to clearing the cache in SkyDrive Pro. I have the free OneDrive. What I did find however was that although Windows Explorer showed “OneDrive”, under Properties it said it was located at C:/Users/(me)/SkyDrive. I renamed that to OneDrive and ran a scan but again although it was now looking for OneDrive instead of SkyDrive it still said it couldn’t find the files because they were off line, with the error code 42006. Is that folder under my name in users what you are referring to as the cache? Now this might be a clue - I tried to see what settings were in place for OneDrive but when I click on the icon I get an error that says “Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library. Runtime Error: Program:C:\Windows\FileManager\FileManager.exe. This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way…” I haven’t really used OneDrive to any extent so I thought removing it and reinstalling might correct these errors. Is that a reasonable approach?
