Avast Resident protection not started

Hi all

I have successfully deployed the avast netclient to a test station, but for some reason the icon has a red circle in it. I have not changed the default resident task. Am I missing something simple here?

Please check the status of the “avast antivirus” service (Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Services). Is it running? If not, can it be started?

Hi Vlk

I was not able to start the service so I thought I better check my login access. Loggin in using my domain, domain\administrator, and the correct password wouldn’t work.

I was able to however get it to work using the domain, systemname\administrator, password and that did work.

I have verified that the system is on the domain.

Actually, its best to use the localsystem account.
This is done by simply leaving both the username and password fields blank (in the installation package).
