In previus thread I posted that Avast did not recognised my new router and when it did it saw it as dangerus to attacks.
The message i got was “upgrade to latest firware if possible” and the device has not properly ste up.
I upgraded the firmware and reboot both my PC and router.
New Avast scan was “succesfull” (green lights everywere).
I repeated the scan after an hour.
AGAIN (after router’s upgrade) Avast saw it dangerus.
In 5 scans with 3 repeats of router firware upgrades 4 were RED. 1 was green…in between of those “red” ones…
In smart scan though no issue with internet threats apear…
What should I do ??? Router is upgraded… I did not have such an issue with the old router though.
EDIT:
After 3 red scans i had a “green” one…after few minutes… Repeated scan… 2 seconds after the previus one apears the router dangerus to attacks without PC or router re-boot or any other actions!!!
Just another avast bug i guess
Maybe. Because the Avast search’s for WiFi threats. The funny thing is that i have WiFi closed… :-
But since the previus router seamed OK by Avast makes me sceptical unless the bug is from the latest patch.
EDIT:
I unistalled Avast and re-installed it and AGAIN it sees my old ZTE router instead of my new one!
Even with ZTE router i had my WiFi closed and Avast see threats in WiFi!
Sorry for the double post but scannings continue to be inconclusive.
Speedport Entry 2 is a ZTE router but scans are 4 that show that router is vanurable to attacks and now and there there is a scan that sas the device is safe.
Also I nottice that scans that have better possibilities to show router safe are WHEN in scan you select “unknown device” or as “device”.
If you select the default “router” you have “red allert” warnings.
HELP!!!
Any ideas by the developing team? I contacted my router provider and saw that everything is properly assigned (even the latest firware).
So what may be the deal here? Am I “open to threats” or not?
Just to prove my claims.
Two home net security checks.
1st :
I have thise message:
http://s26.postimg.org/dim0moshl/ROUTER2.png
That says that everyone can use his own
2nd: I have the message that all is fine.
http://s26.postimg.org/ht0oi9xkp/ROUTER3.png
Which message should I believe?
It’s showing the same for me again this morning. My ISP will be hooking up a new router for me today so I’m hoping I won’t see this again.
An Avast Team member sent me a message and I sent him back my log file from AvastSuport tool and waiting his responce.
Glad to see that I am not the only one with this issue.
My router is three days old (my provider changed it after service in my line) see my old thread here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=200129.0
I thought it was “repaired” after those instructions but alas it continues.
I wonder If Avast team has somekind of fix scedule for this problem.
I sent the files they requested. No fix anyway… :-\
