avast running?

hi i installed avast for linux and i’m using ubuntu 7.04 32bit…how do i know whether or not it is running and protecting the pc?thanks

avast for Linux only runs on-demand, not as a resident (on-access, in background) like in Windows.
Generally, in Linux the on-demand scanning and cleaning is enough for protection.
