avast runonce tasks makred as SpyWare by SpyBot, and not being executed

Hi,

Spybot detected some avast RUNONCE startup tasks as Smitfraud-C malware.

Is this false alarm? If so, why those runonce tasks are not being executed?

Otherwise, if this is indeed a malware, how can I remove it? Avast and MalwareBytes full scans found nothing (searching the web, it seems SpyBot fails to remove this malware, but I won’t try before verifying it is indeed a malware).

I run win 7 as administrator. All apps are up-to-date.
I have attached Spybot report and Startup entries (by CCleaner)

Thanks,
Guy.

I run full avast and malwarebytes scans with no alerts.
you dont need SpyBot when you have these.....

suspicious files can be tested at one of these places www.virustotal.com / www.metascan-online.com / www.jotti.org

avast RUNONCE startup task is not malware.

SpyBot … ::slight_smile: well just get rid of it.

Hi Pondus and AdrianH,

Thank you both for the quick response.
As I run the files at the links posted by Pondus and no threat was found, so I guess it’s false alarm. Thanks.

Do you guys have an idea why these RUNONCE tasks are not being executed? or maybe they are, but not being removed from the startup tasks list?
How do I force them to be executed, or should I manually remove them?

Thanks,
Guy
