avast runs non stop - scanning

I have 4 partitions (C,D,E,F).
Before starting the virus check, I mark them all.
Then the scanning starts, but after having scanned the last partition “F”, it does not stop in order to show up the report.
Instead, again it starts with partition “C” etc. etc.
A non stop scanning without interruption.
Please help me !

You may be actually running two scans consecutively, a selective scan where you select the folders/drives to scan and a Local Disks, this will scan all local non-removable drives, so you shouldn’t need to do a Folder Selection.

This is I trust what is happening?

Problem is solved !
It is exactly how you assumed it to be:

  • avast start screen = right side = icon “Choose Folders” = activated by me = wrong!
  • avast start screen = left side above = click = “Start Scan” / “Choose Drives” / “Local Drives” = activated = it works perfectly !

GREAT !!! ANOTHER PROOF THAT “AVAST” IS A VERY GOOD PRODUCT. BUT: IT´S NOT ONLY THE PRODUCT THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. IT IS THE PRODUCT AND THE SERVICE, I. E. THIS FORUM WHICH MAKES IT SUCH A GOOD THING !
