Been using the Free version for about 10 years, and the IS for the last 3. This year’s Safe Zone has a huge problem with Flash Player. No sooner than my bank log-in page loads, Flash crashes, and Safe Zone hangs for hours. You cannot shut down using Ctrl-Alt-Del, or right-clicking for the Task Mgr–nothing happens. I was forced to hold the power button down, which logs tons of Windows errors. 15 printed pages to be exact. I spoke to Natalia at Bulgar, Avast’s remote-service contractor, who was pleasant enough and offered to have a technician remotely repair my windows for the low, low price of $179. Hell, for another $100, I could probably go to a 4th of July sale and buy a new Windows 8 desktop. I’m still on VISTA… Naturally, I felt that AVAST should repair my Windows error report for free since their software caused the damage. However, since then I have gone back to a restore point before I installed Avast on this computer. There are no longer any AVAST errors on the log, but tons of others that mean nothing to me. Anyway, there is a major issue with this software…caveat emptor. :’
First thing to note is that third party vendors will try to take your money
Secondly warnings and errors abound in windows and mean the square root of nothing they are normal
The screenshot has a summary of my errors and this is just seven days
Could you let us know the exact error you are getting and we will work from there, also what version of Avast are you running
As has been explained tons of times…
You did not call avast but a third party company.
Free help for avast is given here on this webboard and through the ticket system.
A bank should (for security reasons) never use flash on their website.
