Hi,
I have Avast Internet Security, and there’s a software that’s I cannot open I think because of avast sandbox.
The software when I double click on the exe file never opens, in Task Manager it’s there though. If I turn all features of Sandbox off I am able to open software.
I tried using the Exclusion etc, yet I can’t find a way to allow program to open without shutting down all sandbox features.
Any idea?
Thanks,
Karl

Hi Karl,
May I know where exactly you added the exclusions? The correct way to add exclusions for auto sandbox is,
- Goto Additional Protection
- Auto Sandbox >> Settings
- Exclusions
- Add the program
Hope this helps!
Cheers!

Hi Karl,

I could not add the software exe file to the exclusion list because you can only add the entire folder… so I added the entire folder but same problem.
This software is mine, my programmers created it… it’s not available for download not yet.

I think, you’re overdoing it a bit - we don’t want to steal your software, we need to simulate it in our lab. Maybe only EXE file (without all static DLL dependencies, would be enough).

I have another question please about this:
Does Avast Internet Security blocks access to this branch in Windows registry: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\
Thanks,
