Whenever I try to Sandbox IE8, Chrome, or Firefox, Roboform starts to crash.
Outside of the Sandbox, Roboform works perfectly with these browsers.
Frustrated, I tried making Roboform an Exclusion in the Virtualization menu to no avail but then I unchecked
the option for Isolating IPC objects from the rest of the system under Expert Settings for Sandbox, and now Roboform works perfectly in all 3 browsers when I attempt to Sandbox them.
Did anyone else try this workaround, and am I jeopardizing security by unchecking the option?
Searchlight, PK has sent me a PM to say that disabling the isolating IPC objects in the expert settings of the Sandbox is a temporary fix but a full fix will sort the problem in the next program update release in approx 2 weeks
I also just posted in the Sandbox Feature Request section, reiterating what I posted earlier.
I really think that this should be a priority fix, and not a wait for 2 weeks, as many of us use Roboform.
Moreover, I have used Sandboxie for years licensed, which worked well with Roboform, and allowed Printing in a Virtualised environment without problems. Their dedicated programmer is on top of things.
I only uninstalled it because Avast 7 had everything I wanted until now with Roboform and the Sandbox.
I dumped Norton because of continual problems with browser toolbar updates, and their slowness of keeping up with the browser updates, and now it seems Avast takes the same position of low priority with their Sandbox issues.
You can get the latest patch which fixes the issue, see this link: http://public.avast.com/~kurtin/patches/ but I wasnt fully sure what to do so I will wait for the official update in the program release.
