I have a note book that I am working on which is a real bitch. I have done the MBAM scans and the SAS scans…my problem is…I cannot connect to the internet with this notebook. I have installed a wireless connection for this as I installed a usb connection and can do updates thru there. If i do go thru a lan connection tho…I get an “x” every time…Help me out
welcome to the forum.
Is it avast that have a red x above it or?
what version of avast you using?
and what os you running?
Then try i a repair of avast and see if that helps.
control panel - add/remove programs - avast antivirusprogram - remove and then hit the option repair.
did the MBAB and SAS scan finds anything post the logs here as well please.
Windows xp home. 256 ram ( it’s a note book) S series Life book
I installed a wireless connection thru a usb port and downloaded avast. But I think (thats a “think”) whoever used this notebook before did some changes or just deleted the infected files. avast found some files and I am keeping them in quarantine. My question is, what am I missing as the Microsoft program keeps telling me my nic card is working properly and when I plug in…I keep getting a message that I have no connection.
Ok…problem solved. 52 updates from microsoft and one had to do with my nic card. It’s working now. Also got the original fujitsu lifebook driver and rescue cd and the user manual. Thanks for your help, appreciate it greatly
