Hello,
when avast! shows the alert window, you can find the scanned file in %windir%\temp_avast4_, if you use avast! v5 then in %windir%\temp_avast5_
there should be 2 files: some lock file and the second file unp*.* – check this second this file. If you thing that it is false positive send it to virus@avast.com with “False positive” in subject.

Got it :),

It’s not google search result, but infection present in duoblabs.com. Have you followed the link in the results? If not, your webbrowser may pre-download some links for faster browsing or You may have installed some tool that do similar things.

Yep, the google pre-fetch option in Firefox…
If you want to disable it: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=48825.msg412299#msg412299

OT:

The unp... file disappears almost before I can refresh explorer to see them, it there any way to stop that, so I can use them like you say?

Hi,
I think, that the file is there until you close the alert window, but if you have disabled showing the window it is there maybe only for few seconds. Maybe someone other know …

Milos

Hi,

yes after continue with avast the file disappear in avast4 but if you copy the file before you continue with avast, the copied file remains. If you try dont forget to delete the file after all. :wink:

I don’t close the alert window…it stays, and the file is gone before I can do anything with it…even if I can get it to move it, by the time I move it, I get an file not found error, of something like that…
Anyway, no big deal, don’t want to hijack the thread…

Then it may be different in avast 5…

@spg SCOTT,

if you want i can send you the zipped file. Send me a PM with your email.

It’s ok, no big deal, I was thinking about if I encounter a site that I need to do the same…
