i just ran a scan on my laptop and it came back with this results:

what do they mean that my device is not configured properly? or do they just mean i have a weak password?

avast does not check the inner workings of hardware, it check security settings …

As a router is hardware…
You need to setup the router as secure as possible (settings, disabling options, closing ports, having the latest firmware etc)
