avast scan setup No action but at the end of the scan Move to Chest , bug ?

hi

i downloaded the eicar.com test file , and i did perform a scan of my hard disk

in the setup of the scanner ,i set (for this case) action
virus->no action
pup → no action
susp → no action

in the avast setting i turn on ->automactly open the scan results

well ,at the end of the scan , avast open a window with the action move to chest

is a bug ?
can you replicate?

i’m running the last version of avast6 and w7 with the last patches

thanks
cheers

Did you change the rule right before you scanned?

yes ,when i create it , the scan schedule
can you replicate it?

Hi
can someone tell me if it’s a bug?

is enough use the eicar.com , it’s a test file

http://eicar.org/85-0-Download.html

save on desktop ,and run a scan with the actions settings above

thanks
cheers

Why you would even want to run this off the wall scan with No Action for everything is beyond me.

It may well be beyond the logic of the avast too so it overrides the do nothing and sends to the chest, which kind of negates the whole point of doing a scan.

If you actually read the help file, leaving the Automatically ‘apply actions during scan (check this box to select an action)’ blank actually means No Action, so I see zero point in checking this box and then setting everything to No Action, when that is the default action when unchecked.

Does the window say that file has already been moved to Chest, or does it just offer you the action - if you click “Apply”? If it’s the later, then it’s OK.

no , it doesn’t

or does it just offer you the action - if you click "Apply"? If it's the later, then it's OK
. it opens a window with scan results with apply and close and ? possibility

so i guess it’s normal
thanks Igor
