I’ve used Avast in the past and I’ve had real slow scan times ranging from 4 to 6 hours. Does anyone have experience w/ this themselves. Has this been improved w/ the latest version?

Maybe you are using Thorough scan on very big HD? Usually on Normal scan to check 15GB data needs 20-30 min. It takes almost twice to check it with Thorough scan level. Normal scan level is enough for usual once-per-day, or once-per-week scans as I do.
