Avast scanning error

I had this error in my Avast Log today:

AAVM - scanning error: x_AavmCheckFileDirectEx: avfilesScanReal of F:\e44062f223c8ad4ffd0c33703e\spupdsvc.exe failed, 00000005.

The Avast Log Viewer gives me this warning:
11/1/2006 2:58:07 PM Marty 1464 AAVM - scanning warning: x_AavmCheckFileDirectEx [UNI]: F:\e44062f223c8ad4ffd0c33703d\spupdsvc.exe (F:\e44062f223c8ad4ffd0c33703d\spupdsvc.exe) returning error, 00000005

Can anyone tell me what it is and what I should do about it?
Is it an error with my Avast program?
