avast scans -false positive ?

Hello,
on my Posting v.25.Febr. in this forum under “virus and worms”, did not give any statement on the part of avast. But because I believe that this Posting did’nt take into account, but could contain some importance for avast, I repeat this Posting in this threat.(I am here naturally a normal user and no expert!) regards horbar

Hello…
in the following you can found" the results of 25 virus scans with “NO virus”, only avast scanner recognizes the trojaner “win32:DyfucDldr-AC” ! therefore it is probable, that avast produced in this case false- positive- result … and thus the users by OutPost 3.5 are irritated… Because I do not have an entrance to the avast programmers, it would be surely very good, if an expert (moderator) in this forum would transmit this affair for correctur the competent authority.
Datei-Name:“spy5_main.sdb”
path:
Progr./Agnitum/OP firewall/plugin/antispyware/“spy5_main.sdb”.

This has been previously discussed on the forums. A forum search for win32:DyfucDldr and Outpost will show this to be a detection of Outposts unencrypted spyware signatures

Personally this plug-in is a waste of time and cpu resources, especially if you have AdAware or any other anti-spyware program.

It is a good idea to use the forum Search feature when you know the name of a file, worm, trojan, virus, etc. Afterwards, and if you do not find a suitable answer, a post will be appreciated. This will save you and others much time.
