avast screensaver error after update

After my last program update, now when my avast screensaver starts it causes a protection error and stops, has anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it?
i updated to version 4.7 build Aug2006 4.7.871
I run Windows XP Pro SP1
Error is just a vague Protection error must be stopped, do you want to report to MS.

What exact version of avast? (x.x.xxx)
What OS? (and what version/sp)
What is giving the error and what is the exact error?
etc etc

We are willing to help and we do know a lot, but we are no mindreaders :wink:

I have noticed now that my screensaver version is 4.7.869 and my avast version is 4.7.871, could that be the issue? is there an updated screensaver?

There is an update to ALL avast to 4.7.871…
Did you boot after the update?
Can you post a screenshot of the error message?
