Generally, you should be able to install (with a cable and ADB console) and use it (direct buttons).
Also, you can use the app’s trial period to test it free of charge. Just don’t forget to cancel the subscription in time, if it doesn’t work on your Android TV (more on https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB218).
