Avast Security Free Version for Mac - Blocking my ability to connect to FTP Site

I just installed Avast free version on my mac and I cannot connect to any of my FTP sites for websites I maintain.

How do I fix this?

I have AVAST installed and have zero issues connecting to FTP sites.

Are you using secure FTP? The scanner might try to intercept the secure traffic for scanning. If you add your sites as exclusions to the web shield does this allow it to connect?

Hello,
Avast should only intercept HTTP(s), IMAP(s) and pop3(s) ports.
