Hello there,
I have a question. I have Avast installed on a Windows 7 machine and a Windows 10 machine. Both have Avast builds from August of this year.
Anyhow, today the avast task tray icon appeared with the exclamation mark as it usually does when it wants you to click on it where Avast’s front page will open and tell you to update. Both machines want me to update to the latest build released yesterday (I checked the update tab on avast).
However the question I have, on my Windows 7’s Avast front page, (the first window that opens when you click on the Avast task bar icon), a update message appears stating “Security update available” in large yellow font with “Update Avast now to stay protected against latest threats” underneath that in smaller white font. With the exclamation mark logo on top.
However, my windows 10 machine has the same exclamation logo on the home/front page but instead of saying Security Update available, it just says “New Update is Awaiting You” in large Yellow font, with “Update Avast to keep it running at it’s best” in white font beneath.
What’s with the difference here? I’m paranoid, does anyone else get the “Security Update available” for this particular update as of yesterday? I hope my avasts are ok on both machines :-\
Sorry if this question is lame. But was just curious as to the different prompts on the main Avast window.
