I am concerned Avast is monitoring all websites I visit, when browsing I am fine but if I go to an adult website there is a pop us saying something along the lines of “make yourself invisible” and trys to sell you there VPN… this is a major infringement of privacy if Avast an anti virus company is tracking the websites you visit, doubly so when they use this to try to sell you something to make yourself “invisible”
This is only since I updated the program recently, before it did not do this. The pop up will pop up only when you first visit but will not do it again for a while.

I have never seen Avast act as you have described. Am I to understand you installed Avast to be “invisible”? I am not aware of any VPN settings as you mention. There’s more going on here that what you are telling us. Oh, and if someone has told you that you can be invisible, they are lying to you. Why do you need to be invisible?

You’re welcome.

Quote from Cubas (avast employee):

If you had disabled 'participate in the community' . Part of the Data were disabled. The data that avast may still send are infections found , crashes of avast service, windows dumps (if necessary). Because in this cases file analysis is done on our servers.
