Avast sends ATM code out

Greetings to ALL! :smiley:

AVAST 4.6.69 tried to send my ATM Access Code to several Web sites. Zone Alarm seems to have been able to intercept at least two attempts. I don’t have a clue as to why AVAST does this. :-\

Help will be appreciated. Thanks.

How do you know that it is avast sending this?And a little info about your system wouldn’t hurt also :wink: BTW Welcome to the forum! (how rude of me i forgot :-[ )

avast! would, of course, never send any personal information out.
You didn’t really provide much info (especially what process was making the network connections and what was the target address), so it’s rather hard to say what is happening on your computer.

As mentioned check your Zone Alarm logs and see exactly what was sending and to where, as the Web Shield scan http content there may be confusion as to what is initiating the transfer.

It does sound like there is something working in the background - If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it.
