I’m so god damn pissed right now, apparently my phone has been sending 30(!) sms messages to 420720001669 which is apparently Czech, and related to Avast anti theft.
Is this what Avast anti theft is supposed to do? Steal our money?

Hello and welcome to the Forum!
You can disable this SMS: Open avast! Mobile Security → Anti-theft → avast! Account → Enable/Disable function Send SMS to AVAST
DJBone
You pay your Telco for the sms, avast is not getting anything from it.
In fact it is costing avast money.
server, bandwidth etc.
I’ve just uninstalled another app - by a great brand - for the same reason: 30 €cent/sms to canada o GB everytime my smartphone lose connection to internet! >:(
In that case, it was impossible to disable the anti-theft function.
If it was another application that send the sms’s, it has nothing to do with avast anti theft.
>:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

This is a (almost) 5 months(!) old topic.

There is no reason at all for using so many emoticons.
It is only irritating/annoying and it will not help to get support.

It’s also shown when you install Avast Anti-Theft that SMS could be international, depending on your location.
