Avast! Serial at Youtube!

Dear Moderators and Avast! Team Members!

While searching for Avast!-Videos on Youtube if found an interesting video where some Serials for the Pro-Edition are posted…

I don’t post a link, because i don’t think that you would like this to be posted here, but i just searched for ‘Avast’ at that site.

I just wanted to tell you - so that you can ask Youtube to remove the video or ‘block’ the serials (if that is possible).

Basically I don’t want to be a squealer, but i think using illegal serials is unfair against that ones which bought the Pro-Version…

If you need more information you can send me a Mail or something like that.

PS: there are also other sites, where Avast!-Serials can be found!!!

EDIT: oh, just noticed that that video already is nearly one year old (i didn’t try if that serials still work)

onlysomeone you say
“Basically I don’t want to be a squealer, but i think using illegal serials is unfair against that ones which bought the Pro-Version…”
then in the next breath you say
“PS: there are also other sites, where Avast!-Serials can be found!!!”
so not only do you advise where to find serials on you tube and other websites(even if not named) you do it in a place where 99% of avast home users(who dont have pro) will see it!! the very prople who could if they so wished benefit! you could not have broadcast it better!
so i cant work out if you are against ( being vidulant) or being sutle about cracks for avast
is it me??

When updating, most probably, avast will detect the pirated keys and block the antivirus functioning.

@1600e:

it’s true that everyone who reads this post can find the serials, but also the moderators and avast-team-members can see it and they - as Tech said - can block these serials…

so these serials probably work for a few days, but hopefully Avast! now is going to improve their work on finding illegal serials and block them all!

so this topic should push Avast! to start detecting and deactivateing illegal Pro-Versions…

Exactly. Well, since most anti-virus programs today usually update themselves via Internet, serials that are spoofed, fabricated or just plain warez can be detected, with side effects such as nag screens telling the user to buy, or lock the app up… That’s why I sticked to Home Edition instead.
