avast server down?

Hi there,

has anyone encountered the same problem as me that there is no automatic VPS download possible because of a host problem?
When I load the definitions (VPSupd.exe) manually from the homepage it is either not possible or it takes very long after it has reached 90%
After a succesfull download i then get the message that it cannot be executed because it is not for my system???
This happens on two different PCs.
I do not hope that the side is hacked… ::slight_smile:

Update: things seem to be partially fixed now. It is now automatically updating but manual is still not working.

do you get stream updates? … if so you get all the updates you need
and if something is wrong avast will display a error message

possible via stream update at this time. I got a
“host error”. As it now is working again without
changes in my system there is no problem with
that anymore.
Have not tried with the manual update via
VPSupd.exe again.

no, you did not say anything about stream updates above... you say VPS stream updates are pushed out evry 5min .... but i guess you already know that

anyway good to hear al is ok again…
