I just installed the new version of PC Tools Firewall Plus and it works great except that when I opened my browser, i got an alert that “The Avast Service seems to act like a local proxy” and asked if it was one. I didn’t know how to respond so I said that it was. What exactly does this mean? Is it because of the web shield or behavior shield connecting to check url’s or whatever else? Should I have told the Firewall that it was a local proxy?
Yep, thats how the Web Shield works to scan things before they land on your system.
