On or about 22nd October 2013 I was using Google Chrome Browser and opened the search. I saw a strange Advertisement “Adobe Flashplayer update” appear and immediately the update downloaded itself. I immediately went to my download folder and deleted the same from the system. however the download did it’s damage by disabling AvastI. The adv. was in spanish. I had to uninstall Avast. and re-download and install the same but to no avail. Avast services was stopped and could not be restarted. I ran scans by malware bytes and SuperAntispyware but found nothing. I installed AVG trial. It found the Delf virus and removed same.

On 26th October 2013 I uninstalled AVG and reinstalled Avast Avast opened but I got the message that Avast can’t work because the services had been stopped so I had to reinstal AVG. I attempted to restart the same via services. but same rssult no restart. It is obvious that Google search has been contaminated by the Delf virus and I would make no attempt to use the search until I know that it is safe to use.

I am thankful for any assistance given with a view to resolving this problem.
