Avast shield blocks all sites

For some unknown reason my avast lets me connect it net but suddenly ends up blocking them so all sites go to “page can not be displayed”. Then when I turn off all the avast shields control it all works again. Is anyone else having this problem? I tried looking at many help topics but nothing seems to work.

Attach and do not copy paste the scan results.

A malware removal expert will be notified. Please be patient.

Try turning off Web Shield and see if that changes anything.

Yeah. I turned it off and im able to type here… doing scans now. Just do not understand why this suddenly started. Though its slow now.

Server not found is what i get also.

It did it again with Server not found. had to disable all 5 of Advast again to get back here.

i also would like to add when this happens if im on skype or a online game at the time they stay connected untill i log out. Then it no longer lets me on.

Considering the drastic problems i suggest a tiny bit drastic solution.

Uninstall avast!, use avast! Uninstall Utility (http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility) to remove anything remaining and make a clean install using installer from:
http://www.avast.com

If this won’t solve things, then we’ll have to look at the problem on a deeper level. But i think it should solve it. Not sure why exactly thi shappens but sometimes it does.

Yeah. I shall try that as soon as the scanner is done. I just do not understand why it suddenly has done this. Lol. ^^ Thanks for helping me with this also.

Hard to say, sometimes some other corrupt thing inside the OS then reflects after installation of antivirus or other system level application (like drivers). Or sometimes thing just go wrong because they can and for no apparent reason.

yeah that is true  Just instaling avast again.

I hope you’ve used the uninstall utility as well, because that is quite important.

I did yes

There we go. reinstalled it. Any news on the logs?

Give it some time. The malware removal expert has been notified.
I just noticed he’s back online. Don’t worry he will be with you as
soon as he can. Patience is now the keyword.

I can see no evidence of malware, try this fix and after the reboot see if you can now connect
