Avast shields non active after restart (solved).

Hi, I have been having this problem. No connexion at all on Chrome, just “ERR_TIMED_OUT”, sometimes it takes a while but other as today I have to restart the computer and when I do it AVAST says “one shield is non-active”. I would like to know if the shield thing it is the cause of my browsers impediment to navigating because the WiFi it is alright, just the PC connexion. Sometimes, even with an app in Java, I can navigate but not with the browsers. Regards.

Perform a repair on avast and see if it solves the problem.
If not, perform a clean installation of the latest avast version.

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

I have already tried repairing it before your second post and it seems to me to be working a little faster than before but I need to test it at least a week to give an exact answer, I mean, I need time to see if the problem repeats again. I will try to answer the next week if everything it is alright. Regards.

Hi. Now it seems to be working fine. The other day it gives a little two seconds “ERROR” but I did not have to restart the computer at any point since I repaired it. It seems to me that it is going even faster than usual. I hope it was that. Regards and thanks.
