For a while I’ve noticed that when I right-click on the Avast icon in the taskbar and hit Avast shields control, it will say 1, 2, or 3 shields are disabled. I can hit that button and re-enable them just fine, but they seem to go out randomly.
I’ve updated and ran Avast, Malwarebytes and Spybot scans and have found nothing.
Using Windows XP, but it’s not unsupported just yet, is it? And since I’ll still be getting virus definitions updates, I hope I can get this fixed.

Give me a reason to. Spybot has always worked well for me.
I’m sorry, I forgot to mention that I don’t have Malwarebytes’ active protection running, I only use it for scans. So the only thing actively running is Avast. So that shouldn’t be messing things up, right? I’ll go ahead and add those exclusions and see if it makes any difference.
It’s known for conflicts.
