Avast Shields

I have a program that wont open due to the Avast Shields that are blocking it. Is there a way to add an exception to this so I don’t have to disable the shields every time i want to open this program? I have the folder location, was just wondering if there was a way round this?

Why do you think that application is safe to use?
Submit it to Virustotal and post the link to the result here please.

What is the message from avast when blocking?
You may attach a screenshot

There is no virus as it was scanned before i started to install it. As for why i think it is safe to use, the program itself came from a reputable company, and this disc was given to me by England Basketball (who wouldn’t give out fault products).

The message that is showing is that there isn’t enough space to open the program, however once the shields are down it opens fine and works perfectly.

Is there a download link for that application so we can check things?

What OS/sp are you using?
What exact version of avast?
What exact shield is it that “blocks” it? (disable the shields one at a time to find out)

Unfortunately not download link as it came on a disc. I am running Windows 7, sp 1. Avast Pro antivirus 9.0.2021.
I think it is the File System Shield as it works when it is disabled and i run the program as admin

I’ve always wondered why folk install protection on their system
only to bypass it when it warns them of a possible danger. ???

Is this program really that important ? Isn’t there another program available
that will do the same thing but doesn’t set of the bells and whistles or you antivirus program ?

don’t worry now, contacted avast directly and they came through to help. Many Thanks

It would have been nice if you had passed along the help and answer they gave you.
