This has only been happening since yesterday morning…I thought maybe I had adware or spyware so I ran scans with both apps…they cleared a few very minor problems. I ran an Avast scan…all clean. Go back to http://edition.cnn…and as soon as the page loads I get a red Avast pop-up telling me this is an infected site…When I click " details" I get this message
Details van de infectie
URL: http://networkio9.eu/|>{gzip}
proces: file://C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox.…
infectie: html:Iframe-inf

Can you tell me what this is? How to fix it? Thank You

Hi,

I’m just a forum member.

It might be a false positive, but I doubt it.

Looks like that site might be a fraud or a victim of an injection attack.

Post under the “Viruses and worms” message board ad ask them to check if it is a FP - http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=4.0

EDIT: Upon reflection I see that URL is no longer accessible.

This has nothing to do with Avast scanning your own system. Avast is catching something in that site, not in your system.
