Avast skips scans.

Hello my name is kevin andi am having a bit of an issue. I have windows xp sp3 with avast version 7.0.1474

When i right click a file and go to the scan with avast option a box pops up and says 0.0b scanned and 0/0 scanned files as if it didn’t scan anything. Also the dcan a certain file or folder option does the same. Quick and fll scan work fine. I have reinstalled and tried the repair option and restarted my computer.

Help is very much appreciated!

P.s. yes this has worked before and stopped and started working again. Now it has stopped all together.

have you tried avast repair? controlpanel > ad remove programs > avast > uninstall > repair option.....wait a copule of minutes and reboot

any change ?
