Hi Avast Team,
I work in an animation studio where Avast is our main antivirus.
There are a dozen of workstations for our graphists that are connected to our storage system (A Synology NAS) where are located all our projects materials.
There has been several issues where our softwares (Autodesk Maya, Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro…) are really slow when accessing files over the network.
For exemple, one of my Premiere project is taking 15 minutes to read all the inputs (image sequences), can’t playback in realtime, is taking 20 to render a 1 minute animation.
After uninstalling Avast, reading the inputs takes 20 seconds, I can playback in realtime, renders in 1min30s.
Overall, all our softwares are way faster after uninstalling Avast, but now we are completely naked.
FYI: I also tried disabling all Avast Agents before uninstalling without any success. i also tried adding our server in the exceptions list using \Myserver* without any success.
Is there any workaround for our problem? Or we might end up using an other antivirus.
