Avast slows down my internet web surfing.

Hi,

I’m currently under avast 8 + windows 8.
Since few weeks now, avast slows down my web surfing, pages hangs a bit when opening new links and youtube videos are slow and jerky few secondes at start before being read correctly.

When I stop avast surfing is OK, and smooth.

I tried to reinstall it but still I have the problem, same thing when I disable web protection, using chrome and firefox.

If you have any clue please let me know.

What’s your computer hardware? How fast is your PC?

Turning scripting off (and enjoying some webpages crippled … :smiley: …) could be a temporary half-solution … :confused:

I know the problem and am also complaining, specially on older slow PCs!

I don’t think it’s related to my PC, my PC is pretty new 3GHZ, 4 threads, 4Ga Ram etc… Windows 8 64bits
it really comes from Avast, currently I’m with Avira, until I find a solution.
