Avast spam toolbar in Ms Word when used as the email editor for Outlook

With the installation of the latest Avast! update (8.0.1489) I noticed the addition of an Avast! spam toolbar in Ms Word when I read my email using it as the email editor in Outlook. (I have MS Office 2003 installed on a Windows XP (SP3) system). Since I have another spam handling program installed I do not need this and would like to remove it. The problem is that I cannot find where to do that. When I disable it while reading a message it just appears again on the next message. I would not mind it so much but it adds another line to the window overhead when a message is displayed. I would even settle for being able to move it to another location on a line with another toolbar, but that does not work either, once I close the message and open a new message it is back on a line by itself.
Please tell me where to go to turn this new feature off. I have looked everywhere that I can think of and can find nothing that will allow me to disable this feature. :-\ While there may be many who will love having this feature, I find it annoying because I already have an Outlook add-on that performs that function and performs it quite to my satisfaction. I do not need another spam identifier that from all that I have read about it is not as powerful as the add-on that I have been using for the last 7 plus years.

I didn’t know there was an Avast toolbar, but after searching the forums, I guess there is one.
