The part of my visit to California that’s not a lot of fun:

Today I had a nice meeting with mother nature at this beautiful park. I let her do the presentation.

Up till now, I’ve been in short sleeve shirts.
That’ll change for this afternoons scheduled presentation:

Big Bear CA here I come.
I made it as far as the 7000 ft level. At that point,
I was stopped by State Troopers because I didn’t have chains.
My choice was to put on chains or, turn around and go back down the hill.
The rental vehicle doesn’t come with chains and there wasn’t any way to get
to the club in time to do the presentation.
I was able to get links to the club to watch a pre-recorded version of the presentation
that was recorded in January by one of the Florida clubs.
I would have been happy to do a remote presentation but the internet access at the hotel just isn’t up to par to make that viable.
Bummer!!!

I almost didn’t get to this club. Someone forgot to mention that the street address
was 333 EAST Foothill Blvd. My GPS sent me on a goose chase since without the East,
it’s at a totally different and non existent place. All’s well that ends well even when you
get there 40 min. late. Insted of being first on the agenda, I was last.

TECHNOLOGY FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Bob Gostischa, Avast Evangelist

Join Bob as he takes a comical look back in time and then explains what you need to know to stay safe in the present.
He will make your Internet experience and computer operation safe, secure and, enjoyable.
APCUG uses ZOOM for the VTC webinar presentations (www.zoom.us). If you have not participated in a VTC, go to

Hi Bob! Long time, no talk…
I just have to say I very much appreciate what you do for the community in terms of online security. I’m so glad that someone like you can grasp all the nuances of online trickery and explain it to a group of individuals (probably 10’s of times a month) in a way that they can understand and comprehend!
Many Kudos to you sir and wish that one day I can be halfway as beneficial to the worldwide community as you have been.
Next time you’re anywhere close to PA, let me know, I have plenty of black coffee’s ready for you!
