Seems like CA has been getting a lot of rain lately.

There are some towns in CA that are totally cut off because of all this rain.
During the Q&A session there was a request to go over the following Avast service:
https://www.avast.com/hackcheck which I was happy to do.

A large hall and those in antecedence are almost lost in this hall.
Most of these members are knowledgeable so they had quite a few questions.
3-4-2019 Greater South Bay Users Group - Torrance, CA

Curiosity may kill a cat but questions enhance a presentation.
The members of TUGNET had a lot of questions for me during and
after the presentation. The Passwords Manager and SecureLine took top honors.

My final presentation on this visit to CA.
Lots of questions. SecureLine was again the most discussed product.
3-19-2019 Claremont Seniors Computer Club - Claremont, CA
Back in California and the members of the Club certainly had a lot of questions for me.
Hopefully I was able to answer all of them to their satisfaction.

3-21-2019 Modesto PC Users Group - Modesto, CA
Last night I had the pleasure of addressing the members
of a small but very appreciative audience.
The Modesto PC Users Group meets at Roundtable Pizza.
The club asked quite a few questions and we had a hands-on demo of
the Avast Secure Browser including the Video downloader function.

3/23/2019 Channel Islands PC Users Group - Camarillo, CA
It’s always a pleasure to visit this very active club.

and, many people are waiting for the release of the Avast Smart Home Security product.

A Google snapshot of some of the travels Avast has made possible.

I still see a few states that haven’t been visited.

Is that mostly on Interstate 1 or the old route 66 ?
Much of it looks very like the route we took when we drove non-stop (only refuelling and changing drivers) from the East to West Coast, from “JFK Airport” to Pope Valley Parachute Ranch, Napa California.
We drove almost as far as we flew from the UK to the US East Coast. An epic journey and trip and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
Route 66 is now a status symbol. It’s only used in bits and pieces.
For long distance, Interstate 40 has replaced Rte 66.
That Google snapshot also represents close to 100 thousand miles of travel.

Yes when looked at in isolation it looks like one big long trip not many, many trips over a long time and not a single journey. Now when I think about a trip of a few hundred miles, I think no thanks. Our road infrastructure is poor, over crowded, expensive services, restaurants, etc.

4-22-2019 Payson Computer Meet-Up Club - Payson, AZ
This meeting was originally supposed to happen in Feb. 2019
Due to a record snowfall on the original presentation date, it was
postponed and the presentation was finally done remotely via ZOOM
last night. Those in attendance asked quite a few questions both during and after the
presentation.

I received a call about 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time to let me know that
the library had no internet service. Not good news when a remote presentation requires
internet service on both sides of the presentation.
Ray Baxter, the club president, was able to use his cell phone as a hotspot and the presentation
went off without a hitch.
5-3-2019 PC Community Computer Users Group - Hayward, CA
Last night I had the pleasure of remotely addressing the members of the http://www.pcc.org/
Once we cleared up a slight audio problem, the presentation was well received by all in attendance.
The club had some questions for me after the presentation which I happily answered.
The Avast SecureLine and the Avast Smart Home Security were the top attention getters.

Getting ready for the presentation.

A nice turnout from an appreciative audience. The presentation was well received and
followed by some excellent questions. It’s always nice to hear that the members learned
a lot and are waiting for the follow-up information so they can digest all the new tips.

8-12-2019 SCV Computer Club
Last night I had the pleasure of doing a remote (ZOOM) interactive presentation
for the members of the SCV Computer Club in Santa Clarita Valley, CA
https://screencast-o-matic.com/screenshots/u/Lh/1565689724929-82761.png
The topic for the evening was the CCleaner Browser.
We covered a custom install and went through the various settings.
We also covered adding a Chrome extension to that browser.
The extension added was the Avast Passwords Manager.
Since this was a hands on interactive presentations, the club members were free to ask questions
during and after the presentation. It was a productive meeting where everyone learned something.
