What I’m wondering about is that it’s 11:35 PM, August 4th and the Last Modification was 3:45 AM tomorrow… Ehm… Help? Should I run a full system scan, delete Spotify, or what? I haven’t had any problems with Spotify, and I’ve had it for quite some time.

Thanks in advance for the help.

EDIT: Not too sure how dangerous a trojan is if it said it edits itself the day after the virus was found… So uh… Yeah…?

I can post a screenshot of the Avast Virus Chest line of it if needed. It seems like a false positive but I just wanted to be sure.

HTML:lFrame-BTM [Trj] comes from a infected website

you may upload and test file here www.virustotal.com / www.metascan-online.com
if scanned before, click rescan for a fresh result … post link to scan result here

if you want a computer check, follow instructions here and attach requested logs https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

when done a malware expert will assist you when they are online later today

So is it possible that it is because Spotify has many different types of advertisements that it shows? If so, I’ll probably uninstall Spotify. Not like it means too much to me. It’s the first time it’s happened, and it happened when I opened up Chrome, nearly instantly.

Additionally, Avast is the ONLY anti-virus that states that it is that virus… Is it safe to assume it is a false-positive then?

how did you check that? .... did you upload it to VT or metascan?

avast is often the first on to detect infections on websites…

It was a file, in the Spotify directory and I used Virustotal.

if you think it is a FP you can report it here and see what they say

avast support https://support.avast.com > avast virus lab

So I ran MetaScan and It said 0/44 scanners found an issue.
