Avast! Statistics access denied.

Hi,
When i go into my statistics section of avast! it says access denied. Is there any reason for this and can i change some settings to see the statistics.?
Regards. :o >:(

Do you have flash player installed and updated?

To be more specific! flash for windows

Well I don’t know if not having flash installed would be giving a permissions error, just that you couldn’t see the flash display of the Stats.

So I’m wondering if this is avast with a password set (though that would ask for a password if required) of if it is the user logged on as a limited user.

Probably right there about the password David, i just tried the stats without flash and all it says is i need flash to view statistics.

hi.
I have a 64bit windows7 laptop.ive never seen this problem before with avast.i have flash player(32-bit) installed.
Is there a specific 64 bit player i need.this is the only flash player i have installed.
Regards. ;D

Although it makes sense… I cannot find any password setting combination to block only the statistics.

i Have not set a password within avast.Am i correct in assuming i only need one flashplayer running on my computer.?
Regards.

You need the Internet Explorer (Windows) plugin. Not the other browsers plugin.

i dont use IE i use google chrome now.how do i check if the IE one is installed.?i have disabled IE within windows features.
Regards. :-[

I’m not sure due to your IE being disabled.
But in the Adobe site there is an IE version of the plugin. Can you install it?

I still cant see any statistics at all. ???

Have you installed the IE version of Flash Player yet ?

Chrome comes with flash contained. IOW if you use Chrome you already have flash.

Which doesn’t work for the avast stats display which uses the IE version of flash if installed on your system (in most cases this is true).

You should not disable IE as your system requires it for certain processes such as windows updates.

Check if flash is installed in programs, and you can get the latest flash from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/

" Note " 32 and 64 bit versions of flash are now combined in the same download so you dont have to pick between which one to install.

Isn’t it only for Windows XP? Does Vista and 7 use it for Windows Updates? ???

Furthermore, does it use the default browser or iexplore.exe?
