avast statistics and graph is useless please remove it

I don’t find any use for this graph and the graphs in the real-time shields. Removing it may improve avast performance.

If you don’t find any use for it, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t for others as well.
Besides, when you’re not viewing it, it’s not taking up any resources. So if you don’t like it, don’t view it. And since you won’t be viewing it, you’ll be getting “top performance”.

Well, it is mostly cosmetic. But removing it improving performance? Can’t see that unless you are a UI gazer, even then it would be pretty minimal. It uses IE’s Flash, so if you do not use IE ever, uninstalling its Flash player will make it go away.

yes removing IE’s flash player will disable the graph in the statistics but will not disable it in the real-time shields.I’m sure that removing these graphs will make avast run more smoothly and better performance.

I personally think that they can bundle all graphs at one place like ESET does and utilise other places for something else.
Like Cloud and Many other features coming in version 7.
Good Luck.

Don’t think you could even measure the difference without FP installed…

bollity the graphs aren’t going to be removed just for your sake, other people do use the graphs now and again for viewing any recent events, as stated by RejZoR if your not sitting there with the UI open looking at the statistic’s all the time then it will have no effect on performance whatsoever ::slight_smile:

The graphs are here to stay. I like them as they are an easy way to check on how the shields are working. Especially the script shield which really only works for IE. If you somehow picked up malware that got through Avast and silently disabled it’s shields. The graphs would tell you that something was wrong.

I didn’t use the statistic graph and never bother to check it. Still, it’s better to be with it than without it (in case I might need it someday). So, your motion is denied…
