Avast STOPPED during activation of the new licence code...

Hello dear Avast Team & Users,

I’d really appreciate if you give me any idea for solving this problem.

For the past 1,5 week I was being reminded to buy a new licence, because my 1-year free trial had expired.

Finally I decided to upgrade. The payment was complete and the new licence code appeared on the screen.

And then my avast went crazy and STOPPED. I was patient and kept waiting, but nothing changed. Finally I just closed it and launched again, but then I was offered to buy an upgrade AGAIN …

Since I was smart enough and copied the upgrade-code onto the paper, I still have it. BUT… there is no way I could use it. I’ve checked all the program’s interface and all the fields. The code that I paid for seems to be useless now. What should I do ?

You can go into your Avast GUI and click on “Setting” and then “Subscription”. You should see both Insert License File, and a place to “insert Activation Code” You can enter the code you copied/saved manually in the box “insert activation code” and all should work. :slight_smile:
