Avast stopping Youtube videos from loading

Hi,

I am having a problem whereby I’m having to disable Avast WebShield in order to be able to load YouTube videos. This issues only started happening today.

So far, I have used Avastclear to completely remove Avast and then performed a new install. However, the issues have continued even after a fresh install.

I am using a Windows 7 computer; the only other security software I have installed is Malwarebytes (Free). The issues occurs in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome.

If you have installed the avast! On-Line Security plugin for the browsers, try disabling that and see if the videos play. I’m using avast! Free with the plugin disabled in both Firefox and IE and can play YouTube videos just fine.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I forgot to mention it in my original post, but I did actually try that when I was initially troubleshooting, unfortunately it didn’t work.
