Yesterday’s safe site can be todays infected site.

Just to clarify, I do not have any problem with navigating the site, the threat message only comes up when i hit the download button on any of the pages.

probably a ad network that is blocked

Strange, I cannot reproduce it. Can you try if the issue persists, and if so, can you check what link is opened (and blocked by Avast) when you click download? Easiest should be by reading source code (CTRL+U)
