I remember a time when the Avast software in it’s early days didn’t constantly moan at me to give you money.
Want to see a reduction/removal of desktop notices, nag windows and messages. Failing that will use a different AV service.

You don’t say what Avast Program you are using ?
Nor do I know what your Avast settings are either, Silent Mode, Do Not Disturb, etc. ?
If you do have a paid version of avast, you should be able to stop some of this ?
I have been using Avast Free for over 18 years and I don’t see this as constant moaning, any popups that do creep through, just bring a dismissive smile to my face as I close/ignore them. Clearly I have a high pain/tolerance factor.
Why, you say have I not purchased Avast Premium, etc. For the most part I don’t actually need the additional components/protection/functions offered as I pretty much have them covered by my own practices and backup regimen.
Take a guess, it’s in the forum title. I’ve moved along with the Avast programs as it evolved and unimpressed by it’s moaning sales direction.
Still moaning when enabled and calls it a ‘critical’ issue. More sales talk for ‘lies’
Yeah, I block most of that nonsense with tools. You’re not entitled to me or my data. I’m not paying you to stop trying.
That just on and off trolling… I pay for genuine deliverables, not self fulfilling fantasies or a service that I do not want. Go play games with someone else. Not interested, sorry.
Avast One comes in two forms Avast One and Avast One Essentials (the free product), which differs in the components and the ability to stop marketing/promotion of other paid products.
As an Avast User, just trying to help you I won’t put up with the bitchiness, so I’m done.
There are some settings you can change under Personal Privacy.
Uncheck all but the first item.
As long as you’re using the free version, there will always be occasional
requests (nags) to update to a paid version. Avast is not a not for profit company.

Hello, any progress on addressing my complaint against avast premium nag windows?
I can supress this nonsense on android but in windows, the nuisance avast pop ups need removing from the application.

Avast designed to integrate the nags, not me. The extent of the subversive nature of them is not down to me to prove to you, but for you to explain why they are there.
Will continue to use alternative tools to supress but if the nuisance continues, will simply uninstall.

or how to address your problem.

In general, if you have an Avast Premium Security Subscription, you should be able to manage pop-up notifications and offers for other products.

Not going to pay for adware removal that Avast created, integrated into Avast software… That is coercive business practice because Avast put it there. thanks
No one is saying you have to pay for what you consider adware, r@vast is showing the way to disable such offers.
Personally I don’t think they should be enabled in the first place for the paid Premium product.
