For all of you wondering if our support portal is down - it is not.
We are migrating to a new system to handle the support tickets, so things might look a bit different for a while.
We are working hard to have the new system up and running, but in the meantime some links could be broken, while we finish updating all of them.
[s]When clicking on Submit a ticket at support.avast.com, you will be prompted to log in to your Avast account and then back to the support portal to fill your request.
If you see a message notifying you about an “Untrusted Connection” (Firefox) or “Invalid Certificate” (Webkit based browser, e.g. Chrome), please don’t panic!
Instead, use this link http://support.avast.com to get to the support portal (http instead of https).[/s]
Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope that this change will benefit us all.
I have just accessed the new support ticket http URL.
I believe the old https link will still be accessible as it will still have old and active tickets there - at some point as those tickets are cleared and no longer active everything will be on the http support ticket system.
The new support portal is now running over HTTPS.
This means that you should no longer see a problem with the certificate when using the support portal.
The HTTP URL is automatically redirected to HTTS.
As a side note, old support tickets are no longer available to access. If you have a pending ticket in the old system, you will still receive a response by email.
All new requests (through any channel) should go the new portal, nevertheless.
